camphor question

Hi guys,
A quick question from a novice.
I spotted a log on one my relatives property. Its a camphor Laurel, probably 800 in diameter and around 3 meters long. Its Been on the ground for around 3 years or so. The area of the ground looks rot free, would the log still be worthy of slabbing?
Apologies if this is a dumb question, any help or input would be appreciated.
