I planted a Lapins Cherry tree a bunch of years back because I love sweet cherries and its cherries are like Bing cherries. The last couple of years it’s really started to produces a lot of fruit. But….
Spayed it today. Fours days late. Been fighting brown rot the last couple of years. It gets in the blossom then destroys the fruit right when it ripens. Blossoms decided to open way early this year, first spraying is supposed to be before they opened, missed that. And on the day they decided to start blooming it was raining so I couldn’t spray even if I wanted to. I fear I’ll have the problem again this year because I was too late. But they were like 2 to 4 weeks early. I wasn’t ready.
Drat.
