Outdoor Weather finish for Cyprus

LJs, Please give me some suggestions as to a long term finish to apply to a person’s name plate made fron 1 X 14 X 24 Cyprus plank. My wifr and I have used Polyurthathane on pine and fir previously that didn’t last but 5-7 years before it blistered and pealed. Thanks in advance
