On Feb. 11, Solar Energy International PV instructor Kris Sutton leads a one-day Photovoltaic System Installation Workshop - Intensive as part of CoSEIA's Annual Solar Conference, Colorado Solar Power taking place Feb. 9-11, 2011, in Loveland, Colo.
This course will focus on 2008 and 2011 National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements, best practices, and safe working procedures for installing and troubleshooting PV systems. Grid interface considerations, disconnects, system labeling requirements, and series fusing will be covered.
Students will analyze and troubleshoot ground-fault and commissioning scenarios. Class lectures are combined with individual problem solving exercises covering a wide range of installation considerations. Instructors will also spend time discussing NABCEP PV Entry Level Exam requirements and tips for exam preparation.
