Desk w/recycled glass top. Matching printer cabinet

Desk w/recycled glass top. Matching printer cabinet

I’m into the more rustic reclaimed look so this project was a natural fit for me. I used rough cut beetle kill pine with a dark walnut stain, hand scraped with minimal sanding. The blue tint is definitely lost but really looks sharp as it contrasts with the lighter wood after staining. I was able to keep 40+ pounds of glass out of the landfill by using it as my aggregate in my concrete desktop. Hours of wet polishing gave my desktop a very glassy feel and made a great new home for my iMac. The cabinet is custom sized to fit my large format and laser printers with ease.
