Balancing Clock

I saw a version of this in an arts & crafts store in Washington DC and it’s based on the popular balancing wine bottle holders. The challenge was to figure out the dimensions so it would balance properly. You’ll notice in one of the pictures that the horizontal bar extends through the two pieces – I made it extra long to determine where to position the clock piece and the support piece. I then glued the pieces together and sanded them flush. Wood is hard maple with purple heart accents; finish is natural Danish Oil. The clock is battery operated, purchased from Woodcraft.
