This piece which is made from maple, sapele, and yellow Heart which I named “Direction”, became a fun project of challenge for me, definitely tested my patience, but very rewarding after the last piece was fitted to close the ends. I used 5 bowls at 11” by 6” to construct the brick lay look of the bowls, once the bowls had the right slope and shaped to the thicness of 3/8 I then cut the bowls in halfs and quarters to come up with a directional flow of design, to complete the project I used a wipe on finish.
