For a variety of reasons I am limited to a choice of either of the above to replace my Triton 2000. I'm looking for advice on these (or similar items) and would appreciate any help that is available. Regards Peter Evans
I would give it a miss. I think this "contractor saw" design with the overhanging motor is outdated, and wasn't very good at the time either. I have this model, it will not keep its alignment, after a couple of bevel cuts it is out of whack again. Had a look at the one in the showroom - the alignment was worse than mine !!!!??? They quoted me about $800 to align it, or $600 for a new assembly - hopefully not borrowed from the display model. Got a cabinet saw, much better mechanics, not intrinsically unstable. Hardly any more money.
