I made all of these pens in my shop class, and all of them except for the zebrawood one (which I made for my mom for mother’s day) are for my sister. In the first picture, from right to left, the woods are zebrawood, maple, lacewood with a mysterious brown burl on top, and purpleheart. I decided to experiment and see how smooth I could get a pen, so I sanded the zebrawood pen down to 600 grit. Right after turning, I was discouraged to discover that the purpleheart was brown in color, but a few weeks worth of light and oxygen fixed that. Sorry for the blurry clarity.
