Going to try my hand at turning a cherry burl. I have access to several but wanting to start on a small piece. I really have no idea how to go about doing this. How do I make my first cut with chainsaw. Would appreciate any information anyone can give me on turning burls. Just not sure how to go about it, that is cutting to install on my lathe.
