I’m willing to bet this is the biggest project i’ll ever post.
Almost a year ago now i replyed to an advert looking for “Shed installers wanted, no carpentry experence required”. I left that company in September 2010, with the ‘shed’ almost finished, it was completed and opened in December.
Most of the work for this was done on some routers rented from a builders hire shop, and a mitre saw.
Inside it feels somewhere between a cave and a log cabin. Not pictured is the roof which is covered in sedum. This….thing….is completely off the grid, power is from solar panels, the insulation is sheeps wool (made from the stuff that isn’t good enough for knitting wool). the internal lights are LED’s and the toilet is composting.
It’s now a classroom for a school in London.
