The Ridgid BS1400 Band Saw is one of a number of entry-level band saws that have hit the market in the past few years marketed toward hobbyist woodworkers. While the Ridgid Band Saw certainly doesn't have the horsepower for production shop work, it may be the perfect choice for the weekend woodworker.
