diy cyclone collector

diy cyclone collector

Diy cyclone
started with a 55gal cut down to 24in long drum is 24in dia. had a friend weld the top ring back on. yes the cone is removeable. the cone is fited into the lid an has a lock ring to hold it on.the center pipe is 6in an steps up to 10in inside cylinder. the feed pipe is 6in also welded in. sealed with fiberglass an painted. yep i’m a jet tool man.
the power plant for the cyclone is a 1200 cfm jet 2hp located out the shop.this keep the noise down an the air is pumped back in an filtered by big truck air filters. .....used the plan from wood magazine as a guide. sometimes u got to think outside the box. an have a Mcguiver hand book LOL!
