i found one of craigslist. the seller emailed “the motor is 3/4 hp. its used, very lightly used. bought it from an old guy that used it once and didnt need it anymore. i never could get the blade to stay on so i never used it…. make an offer.”
on amazon, $60 more gets you the G0555. for a total of $450
BUT i can get THIS one on CL for $90!! problem is, apparently, the blade isn’t staying on. this will be my first bandsaw so won’t be knowing much of what i’m doing… maybe this guy doesn’t either and problem is simple?
anyway – sound like a good deal? I’m thinking so but…?
and – quite and simple ways to upgrade this to perform better? ( i think the guides are not rollers..?)
